Babe like the Pig

I am excited you are choosing my services for your tattoo. Whether it is the first time for you or whether you have been to me before, it is important to make sure that you read and are happy with everything before booking. By submitting a booking form, you will be confirming you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions below, which will be binding.

Terms and Conditions of booking

These Terms and Conditions, apply to all designs and tattoos done by Babe like the pig, and form part of the Booking process. These will be binding on you once a Booking Form is submitted.

Making a Booking

The Booking Form is below. Please complete and submit it on the link shown at the end of the form. Alternatively, the booking form can be found on the ‘BOOK IN’ page.

Payment of a Deposit

Deposits are £50 generally, or £100 for a full day.

The Deposit must be paid in full, before your tattoo session booking can be confirmed. 

ONCE PAID, ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

A link or the business banking account details will be sent to you for you to pay the Deposit, once your Booking Form has been received and confirmation of appointment date.

The appointment date will be held for up to 48 hours after sending out the account details. If you send the Deposit later than this, please first check that the date is still available, before sending your Deposit. If a session is no longer available and you have sent the deposit, alternative time / dates will be offered.

An acknowledgement of receipt of the Deposit and confirmation of appointment will then be sent to you.

Cancellation or change of appointment after the booking has been confirmed

A minimum of 1 week notice must be given for any cancellation or change of an appointment. Notice may be sent by email or by DM. Notice will only be effective, once acknowledged in writing.

You can move an appointment up to two times before loss of original deposit.

Failure to give the required notice or to turn up to an appointment will result in loss of any Deposit paid.

Age and legal compliance.

You must be 18 years or older to be tattooed. Proof of age (valid photo ID) is required. It is a criminal offence to tattoo a person under 18 in the UK, regardless of parental consent.

Health, consent and medical disclosure.

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that:

1. you are in suitable health to receive a tattoo;

2. you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions (including skin conditions, allergies, blood disorders, pregnancy, or medications);

3. you are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the appointment.

I reserve the right to refuse or stop the procedure if I believe it is unsafe to proceed.

You will be required to complete a consent form prior to your appointment.

My right to cancel an appointment or refuse a custom request.

I reserve the right to:

1. Refuse to tattoo a custom request at any time prior to an appointment.

2. Refuse to tattoo a custom request at any time at an appointment, if you do not like my design and are requesting a tattoo I am not comfortable doing.

3. Cancel an appointment - 48 hours’ notice will be given where possible.

Any Deposit paid will be refunded in 1 and 3 above but retained in 2, to cover material and time costs incurred.

Flash Tattoos.

My Flash designs are available to see on my website home page and Instagram. If a Flash design is no longer available, I will let you know. I am always happy to recreate a custom design similar to anything unavailable.

Flash are repeatable a handful of times. A number of edits are available to Flash, relating but not limited to lining colour, filling colours and differing shading options. These will be subject to my discretion, but I will try and accommodate you where my business allows.

Custom Tattoos.

I TATTOO IN MY STYLE ONLY.

In certain circumstances I may agree to recreate something specific that you have drawn or like. This is subject to my sole discretion and confirmation that the intended design will not infringe any copyright, intellectual property right or patent belonging to someone else. All liability rests with you if any design you ask me to do that is not my original, infringes any copyright, intellectual property right or patent.

Tattoo Tickets

Please provide an appropriate tattoo ticket if you specifically wish me to recreate or imitate another Tattoo Artist’s work.

In certain circumstances, if you are unable to come to my studio and would like me to agree that another tattoo artist can use my design, I may agree to offer you a tattoo ticket in respect of that design. This is subject to my discretion, and any such ticket must be paid for in full before I will release it.
If any tattoo ticket is provided by me in respect of any of my designs, it is on the following conditions:

1. Permission is personal to you;
2. Permission is for a single use.
3. Further permission and an additional payment will be required should you wish to use it more than once.
4. If any tattoo design of mine is uploaded onto any social media, by you, the tattoo artist using the ticket, or any other person that you are aware of, that my business babe like the pig is tagged and/or  given credit for the design.

My designs

I do not send custom designs ahead of an appointment.

Prior to the appointment, in order to enable me to formulate a design that most aptly incorporates your wishes, it is helpful for me for you to:

1. Tell me as much as you can about your design ideas and where appropriate, the story behind it; and

2. send in rough pictures and sketches, as well as any reference images or selection of your ideas for example a mood board.

3. Give examples of MY work - tattoos or illustrations that you like, to give me a better sense of what you’re drawn to.

The booking form will ask for this and I will send you any follow up queries I have prior to the appointment.

At the appointment:

1. minor edits of a custom tattoo are included.

2. Major edits or a total redraw are not included and may ecru an additional charge. 

It is at my sole discretion to decide whether an edit is considered minor or otherwise, or if any change attracts an additional charge. 

If there is insufficient time at the appointment to make any required changes, any Deposit may, subject to the circumstances be transferred to a follow up appointment. Please be aware, this decision will be totally at my discretion.  In most cases, the deposit will remain non-refundable and new deposit necessary for any such follow up appointment.

All rates for Flash, Custom, Freehand, Half day and Full day sessions can be found on my Pricing Guide.

These conditions are NON-NEGOTIABLE and ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless there are extenuating circumstances. IT IS COMPLETELY AT MY DISCRETION AS TO WHETHER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES APPLY. 

All clients are personally responsible for any costs they incur in connection with the appointment, whether it goes ahead or not.

FINALLY

A tattoo is a very personal statement and often involves a range of emotions. They are permanent and it is incredibly important to me that you are happy with your design and final tattoo. 

Please look at my website and the style of work I do before booking. I am described as an illustrative and ornamental Artist. It is individual to me, and you need to consider if it is a style that can accommodate your intention and wishes, and that I am the right artist for you, before booking and paying any Deposit.
